We Need “Courage” — But Not an Up-or-Down Vote…

In Ohio today, the President made the argument that Democrats “need courage” to pass his government takeover of health care.  But how much courage are Democrats showing by maintaining a strategy that doesn’t allow for an up-or-down vote on passing the Senate bill?  Why are House Democrats so afraid to stand up and be counted on things like the “Cornhusker Kickback” and the “Louisiana Purchase?”  Why doesn’t Speaker Pelosi have the “courage” to allow a clear up-or-down vote in accordance with the President’s wishes?
